real college students eat ramen

You know those people who never try new things? Who eat the same thing at the same restaurant every Friday night? Who follow the recipe card to a T? Well, that would be me. I am terrified to even look at the spice rack. I hate thinking about food and if one would go well with another. I like the basics. Nothing fancy.

The husband, on the other hand, is a little experimentalist. He likes the hot sauce, the onion, the oregano (I don't even know what that's used for). So. Today I am cooking my very basic lunch with my very trusty Ramen noodles and he starts adding the most random things. 2 eggs, ginger, and Sriracha sauce. How does he even think of these things?

Turns out it was amazing. I think I'll leave the cooking up to him from now on.

Fights and Fuzzy Toilet Seats

Paul and I don't fight. We really don't! We have the occasional eye role and the "maybe you should give me some space" time (and this usually only lasts about five minutes), but other than that.. nothin. Well.. there was that one time at Target..

As a recently engaged couple we decided to do what all engaged couples do. Register at Target. We were doing pretty good at agreements like what color of plates to get, and "should we go with this size of crock pot or that size?" But then, oh but then we came to the bathroom rugs. "Sure Karie, the cream color should look great in the bathro.. uhh what's that your registering for?"I held up a flat fuzzy circle. "It's a toilet seat cover." thinking how could he possibly not know that. That is where the trouble began. Up until that point I thought our relationship was full of flowers and rainbows.. but boy was I wrong when I found out that we actually have very different opinions about a toilet seat cover. This resulted in our very first fight argument. I'm so proud to say it happened in Target of all places.

Can you guess who won? Don't worry, we made up with Krispy Kreme deliciousness.

So i guess you could say we have joined the blogging world. I feel like a real homemaker/mother now! Except for the fact that husband and I don't have a home. and I am not a mother. But we do have a blog and its been something I've been looking forward to for a while.

Husband said I couldn't have a blog until after we were done marrying each other and honeymooning it up. After two weeks of cabin love, hawaii oceans, and wonderful vacation, I finally got permission.

Now Paul, can I have a puppy?
